How much does a server cost?
A server bill has four parts: compute, storage, network transfer and extras. Hosts that quote one number usually meter the other three. This page names all four, lists the tricks that hide the total, and shows Kraftify rates beside them.
The four parts #
| Part | What it is | Typical shape |
|---|---|---|
| Compute | CPU and memory for the running server | Fixed per size, monthly |
| Storage | Disk for worlds, databases and files | Fixed per GB or per size |
| Egress | Traffic leaving the data center to players | Metered per GB |
| Extras | Backups, extra IPs, support tiers | Add ons, varies by host |
Tricks that hide the total #
- Intro rate expiry: a low first month that renews triple. Always read the renewal rate.
- Free tier expiry: a small free box that ends after a year and converts to paid silently.
- Egress surprise: cheap compute with transfer at rates nobody quotes up front.
- Stopped still bills: a stopped server keeps its disk and its charge until deleted or paused.
Kraftify rates #
| Size | Compute | Disk | Monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| small | 2 cores, 4 GB | 10 GB | USD 7 |
| medium | 4 cores, 8 GB | 40 GB | USD 14 |
| large | 8 cores, 16 GB | 160 GB | USD 28 |
Egress is USD 0.02 per GB, published rather than estimated. Paused targets cost nothing and granted targets never count. The monthly ceiling refuses creates that would cross it, so an agent cannot surprise you. See Billing, Pausing and Credits.
No region is funded yet, so nothing bills and no card is collected. Rates above are the published plan, not an offer. See Region status.
